If your coffee splatters, it means your extraction has tunnel effect. Tunnel effect is one source of bitterness. Try to improve your distribution to make the coffee come out evenly in the same time.
Our filter is finer than the original Breville filter. We craft the filter this way to build up pressure more easily and get more Crema for your coffee.
Distributor with Adjustable Depth
Height is easily adjustable by it’s screw mechanism (no grub screws ,shims, or Allen keys required) to suit different doses or baskets, you can set desired tamping depth for consistent tamping pressure every time.
Dosing Ring
Coffee Dosing Ring stop wasting coffee and messing up your work top-with a coffee dosing funnel all the coffee goes into the portafilter basket, severely reduces the mess and difficulty in loading and tamping.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1 – Load your portafilter basket with the desired amount of freshly ground coffee.
STEP 2 – Retract the distributor side to it’s shallowest depth, and place the distributor on your portafilter, blade side down.
STEP 3 – Gently spin the distributor until your coffee grounds have been evenly distributed and leveled. If the distributor does not reach the coffee, adjust the depth accordingly. Note: you do not want to be applying heavy pressure to the grounds at this stage — only enough to level the coffee in the basket.
STEP 4 – Tamp your grounds to your desired pressure.
